Pachypodium
Pachypodiums belong to the
succulent family. They have bottle-shaped trunks and branches (if
any) and are strongly spined and topped by a rosette of long
leaves. They are native to Madagascar and
Africa with leaves growing around the crown giving rise to the common
name of Madagascan Palm. It produces beautiful flowers in spring
and early summer. A spectacular architectural plant.
